eSanjeevaniOPD is a free web-based teleconsultation service for registered patients of hospitals and clinics. eSanjeevaniOPD enables free of cost, safe, and structured video-based clinical consultations between a doctor and a patient.
The service is a part of the eSanjeevani initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is managed by the participating hospitals and clinics. The service aims to provide healthcare services to patients in their homes.
The service has been developed to enable online consultation with doctors and other healthcare professionals. Doctors and other healthcare professionals working with eSanjeevaniOPD can register patients, family members, institutions, and queues. They can also select and assign patients to a specific doctor.
Doctors and other healthcare professionals working with eSanjeevaniOPD can access the service through a secured portal. They can choose and order an online consultation. They can also send SMS or instant messages to the patient, and make online prescriptions.
